"Autocar" Mustang looks to Cobra for protection

09/ 2005

Autocar is lucky enough to have plenty of highly desirable cars park at its door, but one arrival the whole office has been looking forward to - particularly Executive Editor, Richard Bremner, who gets to run it - has been a brand new Ford Mustang, which the magazine bought and had shipped from America. Having waited months to get the Mustang thoughts soon turned to protecting this highly desirable car from unwanted attention, the magazine keen to fit it with a high quality security system.

Richard contacted Cobra UK, who were pleased to help protect the vehicle with a modern Cobra vehicle tracking system and also ensured that the vehicle was up to UK vehicle security standards with a Cobra Thatcham Category 1 alarm/immobiliser.

Both Richard and his motor insurers were pleased with the security additions:
'Vehicle crime is still a major concern for British motorists, and I considered it essential to fit the Mustang with a high quality security system, not least because it makes the car much easier to insure. We chose Cobra for its track record in this arena - we have had good experiences in the past with its products - and now feel confident that our Mustang is likely to remain where we left it.'
